Visit Chirk Castle this May half-term to learn more about the incredible world of butterflies and bees

Learn more about the incredible world of butterflies and bees this May half term (25 May to June 2)
Pick up a self-led spotter sheet from the ticket office and see what types of butterflies and bees you can identify in the beautiful 5.5 acre garden.
Can you buzz like a bee or flutter like a butterfly? Which flower would you choose to gently land on if you were them and why?
Once you're done be sure to visit the medieval Adam Tower, where signs of the castle's medieval past can be seen. Have fun dressing up in armour, go on the hunt for the medieval garderobes (toilets to you and me) and murderholes, and venture down into the two-level dungeons... if you're brave enough!
The outdoor play area at Home Farm near the ticket office is a fabulous spot to keep little ones entertained and to run off some energy.
This activity is free but normal admission charges apply. National Trust Members and Under 5s enter for free.
